PUNE: MIT Boat club student Anushka Garje and Bhagyashri Ghule of the Maharashtra state Olympic games rowing team won gold in the lightweight women's pair event. On Monday, other rowers won two silver and one bronze medal in the tournament. Overall, MIT-ADT University won 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
Women's 8+ competition Bhagyashri Ghule, Staff; Anushka Garje, Staff; Vaidehi Yogesh Devi, MIT SOE; Neha Badhe, MIT SOE; Aarya Tupe, MIT SOE; Anamika Arya, MIT SOE; Sakshi Kakade, Staff; Harshita Patil, MIT SOE, won the silver medals.
In the women's 4e- competition, Bhagyashri Ghule, Anushka Garje, Vaidehi Yogesh Devi, and Harshita Patil won the bronze medal, and in the men’s 4e- competition, Aniket Ugalmugal, Aniket Kolte, Yashraj Gaikwad, and Shakil Shaik won the silver medal.
The Maharashtra State Olympic Games 2023 were organized by the Maharashtra Olympic Association and the Maharashtra Government. The Maharashtra Rowing Association organized the rowing event at the MIT ADT Boat Club in Pune.
