GGIM, NIM sign MoU for Himalayan Training

PUNE (Uttarkashi): Guardian Giripremi Institute of Mountaineering (GGIM) signs MoU with Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) for conducting Himalayan High- Altitude Training for students enrolling for Diploma in Mountaineering and Allied Sports jointly conducted by GGIM and Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Col. Amit Bisht (Principal, Nehru Institute of Mountaineering), Lt. Col. Yogesh Dhumal (Vice Principal, Nehru Institute of Mountaineering), Umesh Zirpe (Founder- Director, Guardian Giripremi Institute of Mountaineering), Bhushan Harshe (Head Operations, Guardian Giripremi Institute of Mountaineering) were present on this occasion.

Zirpe said, “GGIM in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University initiated the first-of-its-kind mountaineering course- ‘Diploma in Mountaineering and Allied Sports.’ The course consists rigorous mountaineering training in Sahyadris and Himalayas as well. The high-altitude training in Himalayas will now be conducted by Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi, one of the premium mountaineering institute in India. The MoU will help the students to get top notched training of mountaineering in Himalayas by highly skilled trainers.”

Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) is rated as one of the best mountaineering institutes in India and Asia as well. NIM is located in Uttarkashi, a town located in proximity to the Gangotri region in Garhwal Himalaya, a paradise for mountaineering.
