FISA-P organises Graduation Day

PUNE: Pune : Federation of International Students Association-Pune (FISA-P) had organised Graduation Day recently in Pune for foreign students studying in Pune. 

More than 300 Students from over 58 countries were present during this program. The purpose of the program was to give insight about celebrating and promoting the vivid diversity of culture.

Prof. Dr. Sanjay Chordiya - Founder, President & Chairman of Suryadatta Group of Institutes was the Chief Guest for the ceremony.  Other dignitaries present included  Prof. Dr. Vijay Khare, Director of International Centre at Savitribai Phule Pune University,
Shafiqullah Ibrahimi, Acting Consul General & Head of Cultural, Consulate of Afghanistan, Dr. S P Singh, Founder LPCPS and Prof. Nirupama Prakash, International Director, Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Abba Oumar - President of FISA-Pune and other student representatives.

The event started with Afghani dance & cultural program. After the cultural program. About 300 students from 58 countries including Chad, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Zambia, Nigeria, Djibouti, Turkey, Gambia, Congo, South Africa, Angola, Malawi, Srilanka, Nepal, Rwanda, Kazakhstan, Burundi, Guinea, Lesotho, Ethiopia, Maldives, Ukraine, Russia, Ivory coast, Niger, Thailand, Botswana, Mozambique, Gabon, Benin republic, Swaziland, Madagascar, Eritrea, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Morocco, Somali, Mauritius and Seychelles were present for the event.

Prof. Dr. Sanjay Chordiya welcomed all the foreign students. He said that Suryadatta has had foreign students for the last 18 years. Till now more than 250 students from 33 foreign nations have passed out from Suryadatta. Suryadatta empathises with foreign students studying in India and therefore established a common forum  to facilitate the International Students’ stay and to help them to gain initial grounding for studies and stay.

MDV launches short film, The Game Changers

PUNE: Million Dollar Vegan (MDV) organised premiere of 'The Game Changers' film. This is a revolutionary new film about meat, protein and strength. Million Dollar Vegan is an international organisation which operates in 10 countries and has inspired over a hundred and thirty thousand people to switch to a plant- based diet this year.

The motive to premiere this film was to spread awareness in terms to help our farmers to direct their efforts for the best of our country as well as help us ensure children of the mid-day meal program get optimal nutrition from these meals.

MDV has actively committed to take care of those most in need during the Covid-19 pandemic while at the same time raising awareness of how we might prevent another perhaps more devastating zoonotic outbreak in the future. With this in mind, MDV believes it is of the utmost importance to share valuable information that will guide our farmers to make the right decisions and support the efforts of the government to fight the present and future pandemics better.

The event was supported by Pune mayor Murlidhar Mohol, ex-mayor Mukta Tilak, Deputy ex-mayor Deepak Mankar, Social activist and business man Lalit Jain, Marathi actor Upendra Limaye, International life-coach Dr Paras. Jeeva Bhavana, an NGO that works with farmers was also associated with MDV for this programme.

It was established to raise awareness of how the rearing and consumption of animals affects the environment, animals, wildlife populations, and human health including the global risks of zoonotic diseases and antibiotic resistance.

We are also backed by many well-known names including Hollywood actress and activist Alicia Silverstone, American singer-songwriter Mýa, Brazilian TV-star Luisa Mell, Argentinian rapper Cacha, Indian popstar Anushka Manchanda, Bollywood Actresses Rakul Preet, Mallika Sherawat, and Shilpa Shetty, and entrepreneur Raj Kundra.

'कृषी पर्यटन' शेतकऱ्यांसाठी 'संजीवनी' ठरेल: तावरे

पुणे : "हॉटेल मॅनेजमेन्ट क्षेत्रातील विद्यार्थ्यांनी उद्योजकतेकडे वळले पाहिजे. हॉटेल मॅनेजमेंट कृषी पर्यटन एकमेकांना पूरक आहे. कृषी पर्यटनाला चालना मिळाली, तर महाराष्ट्रातील शेतकऱ्यांची आर्थिक स्थिती सुधारण्यास मदत मिळेल. सूर्यदत्ता संस्थेतर्फे उपलब्ध होणाऱ्या कृषी पर्यटनातील नाविन्यपूर्ण अभ्यासक्रमामुळे राज्यातील शेतकऱ्यांना आत्मनिर्भर होण्यास मदत होईल," असे मत कृषी पर्यटन क्षेत्रातील उद्योजक पांडुरंग तावरे यांनी व्यक्त केले

झालेल्या या वेबिनारला 'सूर्यदत्ता'चे संस्थापक अध्यक्ष प्रा. डॉ. संजय चोरडिया, सिद्धांत चोरडिया यांच्यासह उद्योगातील तज्ज्ञ, ज्येष्ठ अभ्यासक, वैश्विक स्तरावर पसरलेले सूर्यदत्ता संस्थेचे माजी विद्यार्थी या वेबिनारमध्ये सहभागी झाले होते. उद्योगातील दिग्गजांनी या आंतरराष्ट्रीय वेबिनारमध्ये मार्गदर्शन करत विद्यार्थ्यांना मौल्यवान ज्ञान आणि उद्योगातील अंतर्भाव स्पष्ट करून सांगितले.

प्रा. डॉ. संजय चोरडिया म्हणाले, "कृषी पर्यटनाशी संलग्नित अनेक क्षेत्र आहेत. स्थानिक उत्पादने, ठिकाणे आणि गोष्टींना व्यवस्थितपणे मार्केट केले, तर रोजगार मोठ्या प्रमाणावर उपलब्ध होऊ शकेल. हॉटेल मॅनेजमेंट करणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांना कृषी पर्यटनामुळे अनेक संधी खुल्या होतील. भारत कृषिप्रधान देश असल्याने येथे कृषी पर्यटन मोठ्या प्रमाण विकसित झाले, तर आत्मनिर्भर भारत बनण्याचे स्वप्न पूर्ण होण्यास हातभार लागेल."

विद्यार्थ्यांना हॉस्पिटॅलिटीच्या सर्व विभागांशी संबंधित बदलत्या संकल्पना आणि नाविन्यपूर्ण कल्पनांची ओळख झाली. फूड स्टाइलिंग, फूड ब्लॉगिंग, एअरपोर्ट केटरिंग, वाईन अॅप्रिसिएशन, मिक्सोलॉजी अँड स्क्रब्स, क्लाऊड किचेन्स, फूड हिस्टरीयन, सुविधा व्यवस्थापन यासह इतर अनेक गोष्टी समजून घेता आल्या. 'एससीएचएमटीटी'सह महाराष्ट्रातील इतर संस्था महाविद्यालयातील एकूण २५० विद्यार्थी आणि प्राध्यापकांनी या वेबिनारमध्ये सहभाग घेतला.

Krishna Prakash is the Commissioner of Police of Pimpri Chinchwad and the recipient of many reputed awards and accolades for his service to the country. He has received the Mahatma Gandhi Peace award for his work towards maintaining peace and communal harmony in Maharashtra, and has been a dedicated public servant for over 20 years. He is also the first civil servant in the country to have completed the Ironman Triathlon and the ULTRAMAN title in the year 2018.

CM launches Mukul Madhav Foundation's initiative

PUNE: "The Mukul Madhav Foundation's initiative to lend a helping hand to the needy and deprived communities across the country to live with dignity in times of human and natural calamity is commendable. The state government will work for the poor people; Statement was made by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

Thackeray recently inaugurated the 'Give with Dignity' initiative organized by Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation. The event was held at Matoshri Club House in Mumbai. Minister of Industry Subhash Desai, Adv. Gauri Chhabria, CEO of Hinduja Foundation Paul Abraham, Vice President of Finolex Industries B. R. Mehta, Director of Orbit Sanjay Asher etc. were presented at the inauguration ceremony.

The Mukul Madhav Foundation is implementing the 'Give with Dignity' initiative across the country to make the Diwali of the needy and deprived people and bring happiness in the face of natural calamities. The initiative aims to reach 3 lakh people in 70,000 families in 24 states of India. The four-member family is being provided with enough supplies for 21 days.

Around 20,000 families from Mumbai, Pune, Amravati, Beed, Osmanabad, Gadchiroli, Washim, Ratnagiri, Palghar, Buldhana, Parbhani, Nashik, Solapur, Sangli, Satara, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Jalgaon districts of Maharashtra will benefitted by this initiative.
