Ruby Hall hits milestone with 100 liver transplants

PUNE: Ruby Hall Clinic achieved a major milestone by clocking 100 liver transplants (since 2012). The 100th liver transplant was conducted on a 58 year old retired person, who was suffering from liver cirrhosis which had progressed due to hepatitis b. The living donor is his son who is a 28 year old entrepreneur. 

Dr Sanjay Pathare, Medical Services Director, Ruby Hall Clinic said, “we are proud to cross this major milestone of 100 liver transplants. This has been possible due to the state of art infrastructure, excellent team work of doctors, support staff, social workers, transplant coordinators and we would like to specifically thank ZTCC and Pune traffic police for their support which helped us save lives of many patients in need. We also salute the donors and their families for their noble deed thereby giving a new life to many.

With an excellent success rate of 85 to 90 percent there is increasing ray of hope for many end stage liver patients.
