PUNE: Pune
Connect, a startup gathering, will be held in the city on December 14. The
event, organised by Software Exporters Association of Pune (SEAP), has been
converted into an invitation only programme this year, for which 75 startups
were invited and 20 were eventually shortlisted.
The SEAP in its eighth edition aims to promote startups from
the city and support them with funding, among others. “Pune Connect, since its
inception in 2011, has been bringing IT Enterprises, startups, scale ups, ITES
and Engineering research organizations together on a common platform.
The outline of the programme primarily is to help promote
startups in Pune, which has become a hub for budding entrepreneurs and enterprises,”
SEAP said in a statement, adding, “At the event, top five startups will get an
opportunity to present their idea on the stage and put up a pitch for business
and investment.”
