food service and delivery chain Biryani By Kilo has opened delivery outlets in
Pune at Kharadi and Wakad. Founded by Kaushik Roy and Vishal Jindal, Biryani By
Kilo is one of the the only Biryani Chains to make biryani afresh for
every order, and deliver it in the same handi in which it is cooked. The launch
of this outlets will be soon followed by dining facility at the outlet at Wakad.
Vishal Jindal Co-Founder SkyGate Hospitality Pvt Ltd said the
fact that we deliver Biryani in the same handi in which it is cooked means
there is no reheating and the customers get the fresh flavorful, authentic,
aromatic and a complete meal experience. The stringent processes and systems in
our workflow ensure that quality, standardization and hygiene of the product is
maintained.
He further added, “we make four variants all the time -
Hyderabadi, Lucknowi, Kolkata and Malabar Biryani. Apart from Biryani
we do have Kebabs, Korma and Desserts. We do have Authentic Galouti Kebabs
(Veg & Mutton) which melts in Mouth, Paneer 65, Chicken 65, Chicken Ghee
Roast to name few. Our Korma (Mutton & Chicken), Mutton Nihari, Paneer
Nawabi which are very authentic. Our Desserts Matka Phirni & Double
ka Meetha is loved by our customers.”
Bhanu Rohilla , GM, Marketing added that our
journey began in 2015 with one outlet in Gurgaon along with passion and
now have grown to more than 35 outlets Across India in 2019 which is further to
grow in 2020 In Maharastra, we already have 9 outlets (7 in Mumbai &
now 2 in Pune). We will be opening two more outlets in Pune Next Quarter.
Biryani By Kilo primarily operates under the cloud-kitchen model with few dine-ins at select locations based on demand. Over the last three years, BBK has expanded across cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Mohali, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Lucknow and Dehradun. The startup is run by Gurugram-based Sky Gate Hospitality Pvt Ltd, Biryani delivery startup Biryani By Kilo (BBK) has raised Series A funding of $5 million led by IvyCap Ventures recently this year.
The company will use the freshly-raised capital to aid its geographic presence across West and North India, and for improving its platform, product, and technology.
