Ninjacart Celebrates Farmer’s Day

PUNE: On the occasion of Farmer’s Day, Ninjacart, India's largest fresh produce supply chain company furthered its mission of empowering farmers with a nationwide Farmer’s Festival.  Held across pan India, the festival rewarded 300 farmers.

The Farmer’s Day celebrations also saw Ninjacart hold a health check-up, and knowledge session on related issues. As Ninjacart pledges to empower the farmers, the company conducted a health awareness and check-up drive in Chikka trupathi, Malur taluk, Karnataka, At the programme, farmers were educated on how to handle emergencies such as snake bites, cardiac arrests, epilepsy, fire safety, and more. They also underwent check-ups which covered BMI, blood pressure, sugar, and tests to identify their blood groups.

Speaking about the Farmer’s Festival, Thirukumaran Nagarajan, CEO and Co-founder of Ninjacart said, “It was heart-warming to see our efforts pay off, and hear our farmer-partners share their experiences of working with us. Through the Farmer’s Festival, we were also able to address redressal on indent problems, and pricing, and work towards mutually beneficial solutions. Our efforts to empower farmers go beyond just the occasion of Farmer’s Day, and we have already conducted knowledge sessions in 65, out of 147 collection centres across 11 states. Over the course of the next year, we will take this programme to all our centres, and truly enrich our farmer-partner lives.”

The celebrations of Farmer’s Day comes as a part of their on-going knowledge management sessions where Ninjacart has been working with their farmer-partners to raise awareness on modern farming techniques and technologies, including tillage practices, cropping patterns, use of fertilisers, methods of pest control, and best irrigation practices.

Ruby Hall Cancer Centre celebrates for patients

PUNE: Ruby Hall Cancer Centre organised a special Christmas and New Year celebration for Pediatric Cancer Patients and survivors.

Cake cutting was done by the paediatric cancer survivors along with Dr. R.B. Gulati, Cardiologist, Trustee, Ruby Hall Clinic, Bomi Bhote, CEO, Ruby Hall Clinic, Dr. Ashok Bhanage, Chairman, Kamalnayan Bajaj Cancer Centre, Dr. Manisha Karmarkar, COO, Ruby Hall Clinic Wanowarie, Dr Kishore Pujari, COO, Ruby Hall Clinic and in presence of Dr Sanjay Pathare, Medical Director, Ruby Hall Clinic and Dr S.G Deshpande, Senior Consultant General Surgeon, Ruby Hall Clinic , paediatric cancer  patients and survivors . 

About 80 kids participated in the programme. With the Jungle theme this year programme included dance and singing along with fun games like Jumping Jack, Tattoo Maker and Selfie Corner.
Kids actively participated and enjoyed every activity. A special train ride was the most enjoyable and memorable moment for all the survivors. Shubhada Cruz, AGM, Administration Kamalnayan Bajaj Cancer Center, Ruby Hall Clinic, distributed special gifts to all the children and delivered the vote of thanks.

नेपाळ: आंतरराष्ट्रीय थ्रो-बॉल स्पर्धेसाठी वाघमारेची निवड


औंध : काठमांडू, नेपाळ येथे दि.-- जानेवारी २०२० रोजी  होणाऱ्या 'आंतरराष्ट्रीय आमातूर खेळ महाकुंभ' स्पर्धेत थ्रो-बॉल स्पर्धेसाठी सौरभ बसवराज वाघमारे याची निवड झाली आहे.

राजस्थान जयपूर येथे पार पडलेल्या आंतरराष्ट्रीय थ्रो-बॉल स्पर्धेत 'महाराष्ट्र थ्रो-बॉल' मुलांच्या संघाने प्रथम क्रमांक मिळविला. सदर संघात औंध येथील रयत शिक्षण संस्थेच्या डॉ.बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर महाविद्यालयाच्या सौरभ बसवराज वाघमारे याने उत्कृष्ट खेळ दाखवल्याने त्याची काठमांडू, नेपाळ येथे  होणाऱ्या 'आंतरराष्ट्रीय आमातूर खेळ महाकुंभ' स्पर्धेत थ्रो-बॉल स्पर्धेसाठी निवड झाली आहे.

त्याच्या या निवडीबद्दल महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ.शिवलिंग मेनकुदळे यांनी अभिनंदन करून, त्याला पुढील वाटचालीसाठी शुभेच्छा दिल्या. त्याच्या या यशामध्ये  महाविद्यालयाच्या प्राचार्यांसह, क्रीडा विभागप्रमुख प्रा.भीमराव पाटील, उपप्राचार्य डॉ.संजय नगरकर तसेच सर्व प्राध्यापक, प्रशासकीय सेवक आणि  सर्व विद्यार्थ्यांचा सहभाग असूनसर्वांनी त्याचे अभिनंदन करीत त्याला पुढील वाटचालीसाठी शुभेच्छा दिल्या.

A sports event organised by PDEA concludes with gala events

PUNE: Pune District Education Association, Pune has been organizing District Level Sports Competition at Shivchhatrapati Krida Sankul, Mhalunge- Balewadi since last seven years. PDEA, by keeping the tradition, had organized the same event on 27 th and 28 th December, 2019 at Balewadi sports complex. This event conclueded today with gala events.

Students from the rural area are encouraged by the competition. They are getting an opportunity to play on the international ground so they are getting selected on district, state, national and international level sports competition. The inauguration program of this sports competition was held on 27 th Dec. Ajitdada Pawar, President PDEA and Ex. Dy. Chief Minister had inaugrrated this programme. Dilip Valase Patil, Dr.Nitin Karamalkar, VC, SPPU, Pune, Rupali Chakankar, block president were present for the inaugural function.

For the competition Haveli, Sinhgad, Shivneri, Mulashi, Indapur, Baramati, Raigad, Shirur groups were made for high schools and Purandar and Pimpari Chichwad groups were made for colleges. In given eleven groups Kho Kho Volleyball, Kabaddi, Relay these federal games were mentioned as well as running, taekwondo, marshal art, yoga these ground games were taken.

On the first day of inauguration cultural programs were arranged for the guests and the audience. On this occasion some branches and staff of the institution were awarded by the guests in which Prof. Ramkrishna More College, Akurdi getting A+ grade by NAAC is mentioned and Baburaoji Gholap Saheb award was given to Shree. Rohidas Kisan Thakur, Prin. Shree Bhairavanath Vidyalay, Karade, Shirur.

In last two days various sports and cultural events were organized and students also participated enthusiastically. The farewell ceremony of the program was held on 28 Dec. The whole program was fulfilled under the guidance of the President of PDEA Ajitdada Pawar, Vice President Rajendra Ghadage, Sandip Kadam Secretary, Adv. Mohanrao Deshmukh, Treasurer. L. M. Jadhav, Deputy Registrar PDEA.

Shilpa Mittal, Rashmee, Swati Saraf wins the crown

PUNE: The Miss and Mrs India Universe pageant took place in Pune recently where many participants from all over India auditioned for the crown but only few made it to the finals. Shilpa Mittal, Rashmee, Swati Saraf becomes the winner of the pageant.

After some tough round of selections based on the height, overall personality, presence of mind, confidence, first impression and the judge’s scores, the lucky finalists were chosen. Shilpa Mittal was crowned as Mrs India Universe 2019 and Rashmee Katkar crowned as Miss India Universe 2019. Swati Saraf was the winner of Mrs India Universe Classic 2019.

Shilpa Mittal says,"I am absolutely thrilled that this dream has come true and it wouldn't have been possible without the unconditional love and support from my parents, friends and well wishers." I thank the organizers Miss & Mrs India Universe for giving such an outstanding platform.

The event was organized and well conceptualized by Jazzmatazz World, the pioneers of Events in Pune since the past 28 yrs.
