Canada retailer, Loblaw joins hand with TCS’ ignio

PUNE (TORONTO | MUMBAI): Digitate, a software venture of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)  announced that Canada’s food and pharmacy leader, Loblaw, has successfully deployed its cognitive automation software, ignio™, as part of its IT transformation program.
Loblaw embarked on an enterprise IT transformation journey to radically improve user and customer experience, and reduce the cost of operations. It chose ignio as the preferred tool for IT infrastructure transformation because of its compelling AI capabilities, pre-built knowledge of IT operations, and flexibility to deploy and reuse.
Post deployment, ignio has helped Loblaw reduce the mean time to resolve outages to around three-six minutes for specific use cases, as well as automate over 20% of incidents and alerts over the last 10 months. Speedy resolution and reduced outages are helping Loblaw deliver a superior online shopping experience to end customers.
The speed with which ignio has delivered tangible benefits since deployment, has resulted in an expansion of its use within Loblaw. In addition to IT operations, ignio is being used to automate business processes related to critical retail functions like vendor income reconciliation.
