अनंता, आरतीने जिंकली पुणे हाफ मॅरेथॉन


पुणे : पुणे रोड रनर्स, ॅव्हरोम स्पोर्टस आणि एचडीएफसी बँक युनाईट  यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने आयोजित एचडीएफसी युनाईट पुणे हाफ मॅरेथॉनमध्ये पुरुष गटात अनंता टी. एन. याने, तर महिला गटात नाशिकच्या आरती देशमुखने बाजी मारली. अनंताने २१ किलोमीटरची ही हाफ मॅरेथॉन तास १५ मिनिटे ३५ सेकंद वेळ नोंदवून जिंकली, तर आरतीने तास ३४ मिनिटे १३ सेकंद वेळ नोंदवून अव्वल क्रमांक पटकावला.

पाषाण रस्त्यावरील पुणे ग्रामीण पोलीस ग्राउंड येथून मॅरेथॉनला सुरुवात झाली. खासदार सत्यपाल सिंग आणि एचडीएफसीचे वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष राकेश कुमार रेलन यांच्या हस्ते मॅरेथॉनला हिरवा झेंडा दाखविण्यात आला. स्पर्धेचे पारितोषिक वितरण  एचडीएफसी बँकेचे सर्कल हेड राजा उपाध्याय, विबग्योरच्या प्राचार्य मनिषा नावायथ यांच्या हस्ते झाले. यावेळी पुणे रोडरनरचे डॉ. विवेक बिल्लमपल्ली, मनोज ठाकूर, रोहीत रॉय उपस्थित होते. पाणी वाचवा आणि फिट इंडियाचा असा संदेश या मॅरेथॉनमधून देण्यात आला. यंदाच्या या मॅरेथॉनचे हे दुसरे वर्षे होते.  मुख्य हाफ मॅरेथॉनसह १० किलोमीटर अंतराचीही शर्यत झाली. विजेत्या धावपटूंना एकूण एक लाख ६५ हजारांची रोख पारितोषिके देण्यात आली.

२१ किलोमीटर हाफ मॅरेथॉनसाठी पुणे ग्रामीण पोलीस ग्राउंड पाषाण - व्हर्टीस टेक्नोलॉजी - एनसीएल- आदित्य शगुन मॉल- पाषाण चौक ते पुन्हा पुणे ग्रामीण पोलीस ग्राउंंड असा मार्ग होता.  

पुरुष खुल्या गटात अनंताने तास १५ मिनिटे ३५ सेकंद वेळ नोंदवून पहिला क्रमांक पटकावला. राहुल देशमुखने तास १५ मिनिटे ५८ सेकंद वेळ नोंदवून दुसरा, तर रवींद्र गोरेने तास १६ मिनिटे ४० सेकंद वेळ नोंदवून तिसरा क्रमांक पटकावला. महिला खुल्या गटात आरतीने तास ३४ मिनिटे १३ सेकंद वेळ नोंदवून पहिला क्रमांक मिळवला. एकूण स्पर्धकांमध्ये ती सातव्या स्थानावर राहिली. हिमांगी गोडबोलेने ( तास ५३ मिनिटे १० से.) दुसरा, तर नेत्रा पेलपकरने ( तास ५४ मिनिटे ३९ सेकंद) तिसरा क्रमांक मिळवला.

Mahindra BLAZO becomes most fuel-efficient truck

PUNE (MUMBAI): Mahindra Truck and Bus (MTB), a part of the USD 20.7 billion Mahindra Group today announced that its BLAZO range of trucks has become the market leader in terms of mileage within the trucking industry. The BLAZO range of trucks has achieved this distinction in just 3 years of its launch and is currently selling at a premium in comparison to other market players.
MTB is now consolidating its position with the launch of its BSVI range of products which is well on track. It is also working on simplifying BSVI for its customers, an integral part being 80% parts remaining unchanged from the BSIV variant.

The company has also launched the BLAZO X 49 Rigid MAV truck in 16-wheeler category, with BLAZO’s inherent advantages of higher mileage and payload. In the recently launched ICV (Intermediate Commercial Vehicle) segment, MTBD’s FURIO has seen unprecedented success by emerging as the 4th player in the 12 tonne and 14 tonne segments. The company has recently launched 3 more variants to its portfolio and in keeping with its product enhancement plan, will launch 18 more variants in the ICV segment from 5 to 18 tonne. All of these would be BSVI compliant.

Liquid biopsy test for cancer patients free at Pune

PUNE: A Pune-based biotech company is offering free tests using its cancer detection technology throughout this month to raise awareness about liquid biopsy test.
 
The test detects circulating tumour cells (CTC) which are cancer cells that have broken away from the primary tumour and are circulating in the bloodstream (a process known as metastasis). The test is virtually pain free and requires five milliliter (ml) of blood.

"We are observing October as the liquid biopsy awareness month and hence offering free testing to cancer patients in our diagnostic lab at Wakad on Aundh-Hinjawadi road. It is a simple blood test which can be used for early detection of cancer progression or relapse," said scientist Jayant Khandare of Actorius Innovations and Research Pvt Ltd. The technology is the first indigenously developed test which has received approval for manufacturing for sale under the new Medical Device Rules (MDR 2017) from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO).

The test does not need any special preparation like fasting or stopping any medicine. Patients can avail the free testing by booking the test online (http://www.oncodiscover.com) and visiting the diagnostic lab (located at Wakad) on the appointed day.

"The test covers epithelial cancers such as head and neck, lung, breast, cervical, prostate, gastric, colorectal etc. Currently, the free testing is restricted to patients who are suffering from cancer. Healthy individuals who have a family history of cancer and may be at high risk of getting the disease will have to pay the charges of Rs 15,000 for the test," Khandare said.

Kia Motors opens first showroom in Chinchwad

Ags Transact Technologies launches HP Fastlane

PUNE: HP Fastlane, India’s first RFID fuel payment solution and an initiative of AGS Transact Technologies Limited (AGSTTL), one of India’s leading providers of end-to-end cash and digital payments solutions and automation technology is now available in Pune after its successful launch in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane.

BKT joins hand with Spanish Football League Laliga
