PUNE: Tata Technologies Ltd, a global engineering services
provider, announced that it has partnered with Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, a
leading Indian educational organization, and Science and Technology Park, Pune,
one of the Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park in Pune, for setting up
Centers of Invention, Innovation and Incubation (CIIIs) in Maharashtra.
The first CIII in Satara was inaugurated today in the
honorable presence of Sharad Pawar, President of the Nationalist Congress Party
(NCP) and Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Human Resource Development (MHRD),
Government of India.
In the coming months, three more CIIIs will be set up in
Mumbai, Pune and Ahmednagar. The key objectives of establishing these CIIIs are
to provide high-end industrial training to graduates for better employability
and support innovators & potential young entrepreneurs by providing
technical training, access to advanced technologies & co-working spaces,
mentoring and private funding.
The CIIIs will comprise a Technology R&D center, Advanced
Manufacturing center, Exploration R&D center and enable innovators to build
a complete product from ideation to a ‘Virtual Build’ or ‘Real Build’ working
prototype.
