
PUNE: Chitravedh a very popular magazine of 1980s and 90s is coming back again to enthral avid readers, this time in a new avtar of E Edition. The front cover will be unveiled at a special function to be held on 17th October 2018 at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha, Kothrud which will be followed by a musical treat 'Fite Andharache Jale' by renowned music composer Shridhar Phadke.
Chitravedh was conceptualised by Bal Phule in 1980 and went on
to become one of the most popular film based magazine. It was a pioneer in film
content, with top film journalists like Devyani Chaubal, Bhavna Somayya, Jyoti
Venkatesh, etc. creating stories and articles for it.
Chitravedh has an eclectic mix of articles, interviews, video
conversations, unplugged music sessions, poetry recitations and much more from
Hollywood, Bollywood, Marathi cinema and world cinema. Continuing with the same
flavours and giving a blend of the changing times, Chitravedh is all set to
unveil in its new avatar.
Chitravedh is being revived by his filmmaker daughter, Sucheta
Phule after thirty seven years in a digital format. It is the first film based
digital Marathi Diwali Anka (edition). Sucheta Phule informed that the all new
Chitravedh features candid conversations, unplugged music sessions, poetry
recitations of popular actors, musicians, lyricists.
A perfect mix of great content doubled up with videos which
feature interesting facts, behind the scenes instances, interviews and many
more entertaining stuff, this magazine will keep you hooked onto it for sure. The
revamped version will surely strike the right chord with the new age audience
which is gradually moving from print to digital platforms she said.
The tradition of reading Diwali editions is typical of Marathi
culture and Chitravedh will surely redefine the way people look towards Diwali
Magazine. Launched in Dubai last year, Chitravedh received a good response
with some issues even being reprinted on public demand. The E-edition will be
