
PUNE (THANE): Institute for Psychological Health (IPH) is an NGO from Thane that has been working in the field of mental health since 1980, organises a film festival on 13th of August. Its primary goal is destigmatization of mental illness.
Manatarang is the biennial film festival organized by
Institute for Psychological Health (IPH) since 2010. It is a unique film
festival that is dedicated to the theme of mental health and is entering its
fourth edition this year. It is held during the mental health week in
October.
This year, with the fifth edition we wish to raise the bar
even higher. It is going to be a 2 day event in October (13th and 14th October
2018) to be held on the premises of Singhania School, Thane. For the fifth
edition we are going to screen some handpicked short films along with some
award-winning documentaries. The themes that we have selected for this year
are:
• Social change as reflected in Ad films. • Accepting non
conventional sexual preferences. • Wedding knots ! Nots ! • How to enjoy a
movie : session by 3 film critiques • Award winning short films chosen from the
contest . • Two documentaries with a salient messages.
