Air India starts exporting cargo to Dubai from Pune

3/8/2018

PUNE: Air India commenced international cargo export to Dubai from Pune on Thursday.

AI station manager Suhas Jadhav told pune-news.com that the national airline flew 550 kg of babycorn from Pune to Dubai. This is expected to boost the dwindling international cargo operation at Pune airport.

The airport authorities had earlier announced the international cargo transshipment facility and Jadhav said that they will soon apply for it. “We are in the process of applying to the Pune customs,” Jadhav said. Currently, Air India, SpiceJet and Jet Airways operate international flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi from Pune airport.
