growing regions in India. The top performing cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur,
Nashik, Aurangabad and Solapur. Interestingly, small cities and towns
like Yavatmal, Ratnagiri and Hingoli are showing higher adoption in the
recent months too.

Mohit, Chief Operating Officer at BYJU’S, said, “We are excited to
announce the launch of our first ‘Student Connect Centre’ in Pune. With over
1.25 lakh students from Pune alone, the launch of this centre will offer
students in the surrounding areas a direct access to our experts to get an
in-depth understanding on the personalization feature of the app. We are
planning to open 6 more centres in Pune in the coming months. With 53 minutes
as the engagement rate, our student base in the state has grown
exponentially over the last one year. In fact, it is very encouraging to see
such high adoption from the big as well as small cities.”
Mrinal furthered added, “The aspiration levels and
motivation to learn is extremely high here and we are continuously working
towards creating programs that will cater to the exact requirement of the
students in this region. In fact, we are working on creating our app in
regional languages too. This will enable us to reach out to a wider set of
students.”
Currently, 74% of the students on the app are from small towns
and cities across India. BYJU’S expects this number to double in the next on
year. Given the high aspiration levels of students and issues like access to
quality content and good teachers, more students are likely to adopt
teach-enabled learning programs.
