PUNE: Puneites'
love for music, folk dance is well-known and not a single chance they miss to
attend such events. Bhairavi Sangit Prasarak Mandal is bringing another treat
to them through the Nupurnad Festival. After many years Puneites will be
witnessing Bharatnatyam Dancer, Alarmel Valli's performing in Pune during this
Festival.
The two day long Festival will be from February 3 at Ideal
colony ground, Kothrud, Pune. This is the second year of the Mohotsav and entry
will be free for the program informed Dr Dhananjay Daithankar, a well known
Santoor player.
While sharing line up of the Festival Dr Dhananjay Daithankar said, "Alarmel Valli's performance will be opening performance of the Festival at 6 pm on February 3. She will be performing after long time at the Festival which will be real treat for the dance and music lovers. Later in program Jugalbandi of Pandit Jayateerth Mevundi (Vocal) and Pandit Pravin Godkhindi (fluet), Charudatta Phadke will accompany them on Tabala and Rahul Gole on Harmonium. On second day February 4 Indian classical musician Pandit Rahul Sharma's Santoor performance will be held. Satyajeet Talwalkar will accompany him on Tabala. Later half will see singing performance of Venktesh Kumar with Prashant Pandav on Tabala and Rahul Gole on Harmonium.
