PUNE: The
Sangvi police booked a Pimple Nilakh resident for outraging the modesty of
the 37-year-old widow of his nephew. He was booked under Section 354 (A)
(sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code.
A Sangvi police officer said the complainant lives with her
family in Pimple Nilakh. On November 26, the suspect went to her house with
some forms for a government scheme. While pretending to explain certain
details, the man inappropriately touched the widow. The officer said when the
woman resisted; the suspect used lewd language and left the house. "The
woman informed her relatives and lodged a complaint on Wednesday. The suspect
is yet to be arrested," said the officer.
Stalker
booked
A 31-year-old woman on Wednesday lodged a complaint against an
unidentified two-wheeler rider, who had followed her and passed lewd comments.
The police have booked the suspect under Section 354 (D) (stalking) of the IPC.
Police used CCTV footage
to identify the suspect.
