PUNE: the Sadhu
Vaswani Mission conducted a festive and joyous Diwali Mela for needy
children.
Dada, we love you - were the signs at the stage! And there was
love everywhere! Few hours of fun-filled activities, nice goodies and gifts
distribution flew by fast for the attendees and volunteers alike.
The gifts included clothes and a pair of slippers for each
child. Each child received custom measuring to ensure proper sizing. As if
bringing their warehouses to the fun fair, the clothing and shoe suppliers
brought a whole array of items so that the children would get the sizes
according to their individual measurements.
The Mela brought cheer to over 500 children and their parents, lighting up their life in little ways, implementing the teaching of Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani, "Let each one of us kindle a little light - a little lamp of kindness and courage and compassion."
