Bank of Maharashtra celebrates 83 rd Foundation Day

PUNE: Bank of Maharashtra, one of the oldest public sector banks in India, celebrated its 83 rd Foundation Day at its Head Office in Pune. The event was attended by noted dignitaries like Dr. Satyapal Singh, Honorable Minister of State for the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Mukta Tilak, Mayor of Pune, Anil Shirole, MP, Vishwas Mahadeshwar, Mayor of Mumbai, noted actor Dilip Prabhavalkar, eminent playback singer Suresh Wadkar, Swaradhish Dr. Bharat Balvalli, industrialists and distinguished dignitaries from different walks of life graced the occasion.

Established in Pune in 1935, the bank has grown to a strength of 1897 branches, 1878 ATMs and over 2.5 crore customers across the country. On the occasion, Ravindra Marathe, MD and  CEO, Bank of Maharashtra addressed the audience present, outlining the history and growth of the bank, saluting the bank’s founders and thanking employees and customers for their relentless support and belief in the institution.

“Bank of Maharashtra has strived to provide banking solutions to all, working towards becoming a one-stop solution and a financial supermarket for everyone. In our 84 th year of existence, we will focus on improving and strengthening our credit delivery mechanisms, promoting effective banking operations and customer oriented banking products,” said Marathe during the event.


“On the occasion of the festive season, Bank of Maharashtra has announced attractive services for the benefit of our customers. We have completely waived off processing fees on home and car loans from September 1, 2017 till December 2017. Bank of Maharashtra offers customized home and vehicle loans to customers and had formed an exclusive task force at the zonal offices to ensure disbursal within a week’s time for housing loans and 48 hours for vehicle loans,” he added.
