Tekur, PhD student in Physics at IISER Pune, has been selected for a Merit
Prize at the Asian Scientist Writing Prize 2017 competition. Open to all across
Asia, this science writing competition invites non-fiction articles of ~1500
words covering any scientific discipline. The 2017 competition received 227
entries of which a total of 26 winners were announced.
The Merit Prize category in which Ms. Tekur has been selected
comes with a $500 World Scientific Publishing book voucher. Tekur's article
titled "That Sync-ing Feeling" was on the concept of synchronization,
its occurrence in the natural world and the interest the phenomenon has
generated amidst the scientific community cutting across disciplines.
