PUNE: About 34
specially abled children (Mentally Challenged) from Pune based
NGO Navkshitij successfully completed Kulu Trek from
19th June - 27 June 2017.
The annual initiative was organized
by Navkshitij which has till date organized twelve such treks in
various parts of India including Manali, Manimahesh, Kashmir, Bagicha near Nainital
etc.
The group consisted of 34 specially abled children, 15
volunteers and Neelima Desai, Founder, Navkshitij. This initiative helped
the children to develop self confidence and enjoy the beauty of nature. ZEP
Adventure Club supported this initiative.
The nine day trek included rappelling across Jalori Pass, river crossing amongst other adventure activities.
