Glenmark announces National Aquatic Championship

PUNE: The Swimming Federation of India (SFI) announced that the Glenmark 34th Sub Junior National Aquatic Championship and 44th GlenmarkJunior National Aquatic Championship 2017 will be organized by Maharashtra State Amateur Aquatic Association in Pune.

The event returns to Pune on the strength of its hosting capabilities in 2015. The event would feature over 1400 athletes from across the country vying for top honours in Swimming, Diving and Water polo disciplines.’ With additions of three more medal events at the 2020 Olympics, the discipline of aquatics will overtake athletics for the most total Olympic finals, 49 to 48.

The Sub junior events will be held between 28th June 2017 to 30th  June 2017 followed by the Junior events between 3rd  and 6th July 2017. All events will be conducted in Shiv Chhattrapati Sports Complex MahalungeBalewadi, Pune. Swimming heats will be conducted in the morning session from 8 AM onwards and finals will be conducted from 5 PM every day.

The diving will be held during the Sub Junior and water polo events during the Juniors. The Event will will be streamed live on the website www.glenmarkaquatic.org Daily results, order of events and other details will be updated on www.swimmingfederation.in A twitter handle @nacindia will provide live updates from the event.
