​FOGSI CNN Conference in Pune

PUNE: Pune Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society (POGS)  under the aegis of Federation Of Obstetric & Gynaecological Society (FOGSI)  is arranging a conference FOGSI CNN which cover Controversies, Newer updates & Newer evidence on 23, 24 , 25 June 2017 at Pune.

Dr Sunita Tandulwadkar , Vice President FOGSI is the organising chairperson with Dr Parag Biniwale & Dr Girija Wagh as organising secretaries under the guidance of Dr Rishma Pai, President FOGSI & Dr Nishikant Shrotri , President POGS.

The conference is preceded by workshops. Six workshops are arranged to update the doctors on various subjects of Ob Gyn, Labour & delivery workshop focuses on measures to reduce caesarean delivery, HIP HDP workshop deals with two common conditions bothering Indian pregnant women i.e. Hypertension & diabetes; Ultrasound deals with screening for abnormalities in babies & how this technology helps improving surgical outcomes in women, medicolegal workshop makes doctors aware their responsibility & rights and touches upon sensitive problem of attacks on doctors; the infertility workshop will update doctors about increasing this problem & give then solutions to mange such couples.

A unique surgical workshop is also arranged on vaginal surgeries & hysteroscopy and best of experts will be demonstrating various techniques. The main conference on 24, 25 June will have over 1000 ob Gyn specialists from all over country discussing various Ob Gyn issues trying to controversies, getting updated with newer evidence to improve their skills in patient management. Nearly 350 experts from India & abroad will participate in symposia & panel discussions.  Dr C N Purandare , President of International Federation of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (FIGO) will be present at the inauguration.  Nearly 80 young doctors will present their work in free paper session.
