PUNE: In a
step expand its presence in India in India, Swedish car company Volvo Auto
India opened its dealership in Pune. This the 17th
dealership of the Swedish auto manufacturer.
Flyga Auto has been appointed as dealers for all Maharashtra
except Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai having a 12000 Sqft showroom in Baner. The
company had appointed Flyga Auto to build the brand in this Industrial hub of
Maharashtra.
Announcing the opening of the showroom in the city, Tom von
Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India said, “Yesterday we announced
the start of assembly in India and the opening of Pune dealership underlines
the brands intention to double our segment share in the medium term.”
“We have a good equity for our brand in this part of India and
our new partners Flyga Auto will help leverage the brand’s potential in the
luxury car segment. The city is one of the major business centres in
Maharashtra and our dealership in Pune will cater to the growing Mini-Metro and

Volvo Cars India will soon be opening its first dealership in Lucknow as
